This quote was shared with a group of educators during the AASA National Instructional Leader Academy this past June.  #NILA The quote truly "speaks" for itself.  It is so descriptive in detailing the power the teacher has in the life of his/her students very little else needs to be said.  The presenter, Dr. Tammy Campbell, did have us do one very interesting thing with this quote.  She had us read it again but replace "teacher" with "leader, principal, custodian, bus driver, superintendent, school board member..."  This list was long.  No one may hold more power than the teacher in determining the climate of the day for our students, but it is critical we recognize that EVERY ADULT in a school shares in this powerful privilege.   Do you work to make school a place kids want to be?
